Jenna Fischer is best known for her character Pam Beesly on the acclaimed television series The Office The Office, for which she received an Emmy nomination for the Best Supporting Actress as well as two SAG Awards for Outstanding Performance by An Ensemble Comedy.
Her birthplace was Fort Wayne, Indiana, but her family was primarily from St. Louis, Missouri. Jenna watched her mom, Anne, perform in performances at church while she was young, which instilled a love for theater and performing.
Fischer was a theatre actress in her own country. In the Off-Broadway Play Reasons to be Happy written by Neil LaBute with Josh Hamilton and Leslie Bibb as co-stars, Fischer was a part of. She then starred in Steve Martin's latest production Meteor Shower. It was a comedy that was absurd, starring Greg Germann, Josh Stamberg and ran for an unprecedented time at the Old Globe Theatre.
The cast of the show, including Angela Kinsey (the cast mate of Fischer) as well as her actual best friend Angela Kinsey of The Office, started a podcast back in October. The show was called Office Ladies. The show has since become extremely popular and has been a part of the Top Ten every single week. In its debut year, the show received over 200 million downloads. The podcast premiered in January of 2021. Office Ladies won iHeart Radio's Podcast of the Year award.
She is the writer of two books, The Actor's Life The Actor's Life: A Survival Guide, in which she recounts her experience to St. Louis to Hollywood to become a working actress, and the forthcoming Office BFF's: Tales of The Office from Two of the Best Friends Who Were There (co-authored by Angela Kinsey) The book is a memoir of their best relationship and their time on The Office.
